Dr Stuart Ivey (Chiropractor)

Titleist Performance Institute (Certified), FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine
Stuart is a graduate of Macquarie University having completed a 3 year Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a 2 year Master of Chiropractic.
Stuart is passionate about health and loves helping people of all ages reach their full potential - from people with back pain and neck pain; young people with sports injuries; office workers needing postural help; and the elderly wanting to maintain strength and movement.
Stuart particularly enjoys working with the complex conditions of headache, migraine, dizziness and balance. Also, having been an elite sportsman himself, he has specialised knowledge and expertise in muscular and joint sporting injuries.
Stuart has learnt from the world’s best in golf to achieve certification from the Titleist Performance Institute, which qualifies Stuart to assess golfers of all levels to identify any physical issues that can affect your golf swing. He has also completed the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine.
Further to his university degrees, Stuart has completed studies with the Trigenics Institute of Functional Neurology, where he attained an advanced diploma in the neurology and management of muscular injuries, aches/pains, and function.
A self-confessed nerd, Stuart continually attends a wide range of seminars to stay up-to-date with all the latest research, as well as to accumulate a comprehensive assortment of treatment methods. This provides Stuart with an extensive “tool-kit” from the gentle to the strong, such as spinal mobilisation/manipulation, muscular releases, dry needling, kinesio-taping and rehabilitation.

Dr Linda Baak (Chiropractor)

For over 20 years, Dr Linda Baak has been caring for people of all ages with a gentle, whole-body approach to chiropractic care. She’s passionate about helping her patients move freely, feel balanced, and live without pain — from the tiniest babies to growing teens and adults.
With a special interest in dancers — and as a ballet dancer herself — Linda understands the importance of alignment, balance, and biomechanics in supporting strength, flexibility, and injury prevention. She loves helping dancers of all levels perform at their best and care for their bodies through every stage of training and performance.
Linda also has a strong focus on women’s health, including pregnancy and postnatal care, offering safe and supportive treatment during this special time.
She uses a range of gentle and effective techniques, including the Webster Technique for pregnancy, cranial care for babies, and is certified in Dry Needling. She has also completed Foundations and Bodywork training in Tongue Tie, allowing her to provide specialised care for infants and mothers.
Known for her warm nature and genuine care, Linda takes the time to listen and tailor each treatment to the individual — supporting her patients and their families to feel their best, move well, and thrive.

Dr Tori Wright (Chiropractor)

Tori is passionate about treating pregnant women, babies, infants and children of all ages. She is an Advanced Paediatric Chiropractor (ACCP)
Tori attended RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. She completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chiropractic and a Masters of Chiropractic with Distinction. Tori has also completed a post graduate diplomate in Paediatric Chiropractic.
Tori is committed to educating her community on the benefits of Chiropractic Care and can regularly be found chatting to schools, preschools, mothers groups, hospitals and various groups about their health and wellbeing with Chiropractic.
Tori juggles her busy chiropractic career and her young family with more energy than most. As an open-minded practitioner, Tori regularly works with varying practitioners to achieve her patients goals.

Dr Laina Poisel (Collings) (Chiropractor)

Laina is a Mount Colah born and raised Chiropractor who uses many different chiropractic techniques, including dry needling and SOT. She has a keen interest in chronic back pain, postural problems, migraines/headaches and women's health.
Laina graduated from a Master of Chiropractic in 2008 at Macquarie University. Over the course of her working life, Laina has gained extra qualifications in Dry Needling, Paediatrics, Pregnancy, SOT (Sacral Occipital Technique) and Activator technique.
The techniques that Laina provides range from manual chiropractic adjustments to gentle low force techniques. She keeps up to date with the latest chiropractic information and technology by attending regular chiropractic courses and seminars.
Laina is passionate about the benefits to health that can be achieved with chiropractic care and has looked after people with all sorts of concerns, including headaches/migraines, sciatica, back/neck pain/injuries as well as assisting people with overall posture and wellness care. Laina believes that patient education is a key factor in achieving good outcomes and will ensure that clients are educated about their condition and treatment plan. She uses these skills along with nutritional and postural advice to guide clients to better health and wellbeing. She is committed to helping restore health naturally in all people, from the elderly to the young, and keeping the body functioning at its best.

Dr Jeff Baxter (Chiropractor)
B.Sc, Grad.Dip.Chiro
Jeff gained his training as a Bachelor of Science (Anatomy & Physiology) and a Graduate Diploma in Chiropractic. He’s been in full time practice as a chiropractor since 1989. Before joining Hornsby Chiropractic in 2002, he was in private practice in Chester Hill (south-west Sydney).
He uses a number of Chiropractic techniques – including Cranio-Sacral therapy, Diversified, Activator & SOT – as well as dry needling, vitamin/mineral & herbal supplements, dietary and fitness advice.
The major focus of Jeff’s interest is the relationship between our health and our emotional wellbeing. ‘Stress’ – be it emotional, environmental, work, dietary etc – impacts and shapes our health and our ability to respond to life. Jeff aims to help his patients achieve good health through chiropractic care, good diet, exercise & education.
Jeff is passionate about working with his patients as a partnership, to help them achieve the very best in all facets of their health.

Dr Wendy Hickleton (Chiropractor)

Wendy has over 30 years of Chiropractic experience both in the UK and Australia. Wendy enjoys working with patients with all types of issues and has particular interest in issues concerning the jaw and cranial system. She frequently works with dentists and orthodontists to help their patients with jaw function.
Wendy attended the AECC chiropractic college in England and has since gained certification in Chiropractic paediatrics from RMIT in Melbourne. Wendy emigrated to Australia with her family in 2006 and they are delighted to now be Australian Citizens.
“I was introduced to chiropractic as a teenager when my father, an orthodontist, wanted to discover cranial and spinal mechanics order to improve his overall quality of orthodontic care to his patients. He sought the advice of a chiropractor and took me with him! I was so impressed with the value of a holistic approach to health care that I decided there and then to make chiropractic my career”.
Wendy has enjoyed working with dentists, nutritionists, and other health care practitioners over the years to help all her patients from babies to the elderly. She has a particular interest in jaw issues, both in children and adults.
As a wife, mother, and chiropractor she can empathise with patients juggling careers, family and trying to do their best for their family’s health. Wendy uses SOT, cranial and activator techniques.

Dr Tessa Wood (Chiropractor)
B.Sc, M.Chiro
Tessa is a Hornsby Heights born and raised Chiropractor. Tessa loves nothing more that treating her local community. Her speciality is treating patients with neck pain, headaches, and upper back problems as well as foot/ankle and wrist pain, and as such makes her a “healing force” to be reckoned with. Her word-of-mouth referrals are a testament to her dedication to her craft and her patients.
Tessa attended Macquarie University where she completed a Bachelor in Chiropractic Science and continued on to complete her Masters in Chiropractic.
Tessa uses several techniques, including Diversified, SOT, Activator, Muscle release therapy and tailored advice on posture and muscle strengthening. Tessa continues to educate herself on the latest techniques and training in the field of Chiropractic.
Tessa’s empathetic and caring demeaner, coupled with her knowledge and love of Chiropractic, are a valued addition in the field of Wellness! She looks forward to meeting you and your family on your health journey.

Dr Astrid Ramsden (Chiropractor)
B.Med.Sc M.Chiro
Astrid joined the team at Hornsby chiropractic in January 2009. She has a Bachelor Degree in Medical Science from the University of Sydney (majoring in Anatomy and Neuroscience), and a Masters of Chiropractic from Macquarie University.
As a graduate, Astrid moved to Newcastle where she gained additional experience in nutritional supplementation and gait analysis for orthotic prescription. Astrid also was involved in the sporting community and worked as a volunteer chiropractor in surf carnivals, such as ‘Surfest’. Astrid has a particular interest in several areas of chiropractic such as sports and injury management, headache and migraine treatment and arthritis relief.
Astrid continues to develop her skills through regular seminars and conferences. She has undergone further studies in Sacro-Occipital Technique, Lower Limb Biomechanics and Chiropractic and Active Care to improve patient outcomes. Astrid has a keen interest in rehabilitation of the spine and neck.
